How it started.
It was a nice cold morning of December 2015. Me and a friend of
mine who was visiting me from Zurich,
taking a stroll on tree covered beautiful path called "Gulmohar marg"
in Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. We were discussing about our work.
He was talking about the exciting research problem he was working on which they called
"Cognitive Storage".
He explained "As we walk we
are seeing many trees, people walking, motor bikes. When we go back home we are
likely to remember the
most "important" "relevant" things . Maybe we will remember some trees, a beautiful stretch of
the road and few more out of
thousands of images that have passed through our eyes and brain.
How about having such an algorithm for digital storage? In fact
this is going to be the need of the time in coming years. And from that day I started noticing how
are we actually storing data/information
and interacting with it.
